Objectware Inc (http://www.objectwareinc.com), an Atlanta-based web development company, has been selected by the Center for Civil and Human Rights (CCHR) Partnership to design and develop its website. The Partnership, established by Mayor Shirley Franklin earlier this year, is responsible for coordinating all pre-development activities, including fundraising, center content, and formalizing a permanent organizational structure for the Center. Upon entering a bid for the project, Objectware participated in a highly competitive selection process, and ultimately was awarded the web project.
Doug Shipman, Executive Director for the Center for Civil and Human Rights Partnership, gave this explanation as to why Objectware was chosen: "During the competitive selection process, Objectware provided a clear vision for building a web presence that will build excitement and involvement for the Center across the community. Objectware's innovative design ideas and strong track record with other nonprofits including the Community Foundation and CARE USA made us excited to work with them."
Objectware (www.objectwareinc.com) will develop core internet technology which will enable the CCHR Partnership to spread the word online regarding the construction progress of the Center. The website will enable Partnership members to easily update the website with news, events and development updates while also providing a means for the public to provide suggestions and feedback as to the Center's development.
CEO of Objectware, Erez Katz, was honored and excited to be chosen stating "We are thrilled that Objectware was chosen as I am sure the CCHR Partnership had a wide selection of great resources to choose from. We are excited to take an active role in commemorating Atlanta as a world wide center for Civil and Human Rights."
About the Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta
The Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta will commemorate the groundbreaking contributions of Atlantans and Georgians to the historic struggle for African-American freedom and equality, and also serve as a living center for ongoing contributions to human rights struggles around the world. The stories and experiences shared at the Center will be united by the following vision: Throughout the ages humans have sought to secure a decent and just place for themselves in their community or society. Sometimes to gain that sense of security they have had to fight to change the conditions of their lives. This Center will recognize and tell the stories of the universal search for a secure human existence.
