The Schoolbox, the United States’ premiere school supply wholesaler and teacher supplies catalog, was searching for an innovative platform that could afford them greater control over their product catalog, open the doors to a wider market, and seamlessly integrate with their current ERP. The Schoolbox’s largest market is schools, to which they supply books, art equipment, office supplies and more. Objectware developed an ecommerce solution that opens The Schoolbox to new vendors, home-schooled students, and school administrators managing a budget.
The second site launched by Objectware is River Street Sweets. This Savannah-based gourmet Candy Company, known throughout the Southeast for their pralines and corporate gift baskets, sought out Objectware for greater shopping cart functionality and tighter integration with existing processes.
With an integral part of shipping gourmet food being the quality of the product upon delivery, it was imperative that River Street Sweets find an ecommerce solution that could translate the painstaking attention to detail necessary for shipping gourmet goods into a language that package handler software from UPS and FedEx could understand.
Objectware created a custom solution for River Street Sweets that was tailored to their specifications, where every package that UPS or FedEx handles was identified, labeled, scrutinized and shipped faster than was possible in the old system.
The third and final site that Objectware has launched is Verlenes.com. Verlene’s is a nationally competitive African American hair product company making the move to online sales.
In one of the most robust applications of Objectware’s ecommerce solution to date, Verlenes.com will include a community feature for hair salons carrying Verlene’s products. Users will have the opportunity to book appointments online at barber shops and hair salons using an innovative tool that puts a community of barbers and stylists at the fingertips of hundreds of thousands of Verlene’s customers.
