ATLANTA – March 5, 2003 – Objectware Inc., a leading Atlanta-based Web Design Company, announced today that, in partnership with Acuity, Inc., it had been selected as one of the vendors to create Georgia Lottery’s next generation Web site (www.galottery.com). After a thorough and competitive selection process, Acuity and Objectware were picked to develop the new site. Objectware will develop the administrative end of the project, which includes data base management and the maintenance of the website content and Acuity, a full-service advertising, creative, marketing and interactive firm, will design the graphical interface of the Web site.
“We look forward to a successful partnership with Objectware in providing a dynamic web site for our players,” said Rebecca Paul, president and CEO of the Georgia Lottery Corporation.
Objectware will create powerful administrative features that will be intuitive to navigate and will allow Georgia Lottery personnel to easily update content. Consumers will receive more up-to-date information and a superior overall browsing experience.
Most importantly, the site will be scalable, meaning it will be able to handle a large volume of Internet surfers during peak times, when lottery jackpots reach record proportions. Objectware will focus on keeping the Georgia Lottery site available at all times, and maintaining the paramount security needed to insure consistent and accurate information.
The site will display lottery drawing results and prize payouts daily, and will also have an e-mail notification system where players can sign up to have winning numbers, payouts, new games, and special announcements e-mailed to them.
“We are excited to add the Georgia Lottery to our wide array of Georgia corporations in the public and private sector, ” said Erez Katz, Objectware’s founder and President.
“We are confident that we will exceed their expectations, and that this will be the beginning of a long and beneficial relationship,” Katz said.
The development of the project will be completed over the next few months, and is expected to be publicly available in the second half of 2003.
