Shortly before the start of the application season, the Embassy of Japan embraced the need to automate their paper based application process. Therefore, they needed a partner who could create a multi-page application wizard, provide administrative control and PDF creation in “record” time. Objectware was selected not only for their development and hosting capabilities, but also for their proven ability in the past to respond quickly to tight timelines similar to the Embassy of Japan’s. Objectware delivered, producing a test version of the system for internal testing in just 2 weeks and was able to go to production with a live application after only a single week of additional testing. After the successful launch Bina Zaitsu, the JET Program Coordinator, noted to Objectware that the Embassy “appreciates your ability to accommodate our needs.” Post-launch support was crucial to the program success, for instance, the day of site launch the application saw over 500 accounts created and submitted. Objectware has remained agile in responding to and resolving all issues promptly as they arise. The result has been an abbreviated “hardening” phase of the application.
